Revlon Illuminance Gel Serum Blushes are a new set of liquid blushes in Revlon’s Illuminance line. They come in 4 shades and retail for $14.99 each. They are smaller than expected at 0.37 fl oz but not much is needed to do the job of blushing.
Elf Cream Glide Lip Liners come in 8 shades and go for $2 each. They are a creamy, comfortable, easy to apply formula with quick color payoff that come in a wooden pencil. The pencils are a tiny bit on the shorter side but otherwise have a standard diameter and will fit into a standard pencil sharpener.
The Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge Palette is a neutral palette with a mix of warmer and cooler tones and a nice range of depth. The left side is generally more neutral and peachy while the right side leans cooler and more pink/purple. There are 11 mattes, 6 shimmers, and 1 glossy cream.
Maybelline Lifter Plump Lip Plumping Glosses are a new spicy version of their original Lifter Glosses. They come in 8 shades and retail for $12.99. The key ingredient to thank for the heat is capsicum frutescens fruit extract, or chili pepper extract.
Ciele Tint and Protect SPF 50 Tinted Serum Foundation is an all mineral SPF skin tint (12% Zinc Oxide) with light-medium buildable coverage and a natural-looking dewy finish. There are 13 shades to choose from and you get 1.28 oz for $44. Foundations are usually about 1 oz, so you get a bit more with this one. It can be purchased from Ciele Cosmetics or Sephora.
The Natasha Denona Xenon Palette is a greyscale themed palette with whites, greys, and blacks in multiple finishes. Some of the midtone and deeper shades have a blue tint or blue shimmer that skews the entire palette extra cool-toned and frosty.
The Danessa Myricks Groundwork Defining Neutrals Palette is an eyeshadow palette and multi-use product containing 10 shades of neutrals, each split into two formulas. For each shade there is one larger pan with a creamy velvet pomade and a smaller pan with its corresponding powder. You can use the pomades and the powders together or separately. I’ll talk about how I’ve been using the palette and what has worked for me later in the post. It retails for $65 which is a bit steep but feels fair for the amount of product and care that was put into its design. It is available to purchase from several retailers including Danessa Myricks Beauty, Sephora, and Beautylish, among others.
I’m getting into the fall Trader Joe’s stuff kind of late but I think there is still some time to find some of these items. Most of this is new to me this year but I have a few items that are repurchases and a couple of the newer things turned out to be very enjoyable and things I’d recommend. Below I’ve got mini reviews of all these and I let you know what I think is worth picking up while you can.
bareMinerals Gen Nude Highlighting Blushes are a collection of 5 glowy and subtly tinted blushes that can be worn alone, layered over other blushes, or simply used as highlighter. They are $26 each and are available to purchase from several retailers.
