Favorites January 2017
There are quite a few items in this round of favorites but usually there are at the beginning of the year. Holiday sales and shopping naturally lead to trying lots of new products.

Today I’m wearing Covergirl Trunaked Roses Palette on eyes, Revlon Orchid Charm Blush on cheeks, and Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Color in HD Sand on lips.
These empties are mostly from January. There are a few that bled over from December and 1 or 2 from the first week of February. Most of it was good stuff this time.
Today I’m wearing Covergirl Trunaked Nudes Palette on eyes, Milani Delizioso Baked Blush on cheeks, and Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lip Color in HD Tropical on lips.
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel is a limited edition palette containing 8 blushes and 2 highlighters. Each pan contains 0.084 oz/ 2.38 g, compared to the full size blushes which are 0.2 oz. It retails for $44 and is exclusively available at Sephora.
If you are a fellow beauty junkie, you can relate when I say that sometimes it seems like nothing new has come out. Many times it feels like new product releases are just a way to release an old product in new packaging. Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chromes ($10 each) are the refreshing change I have been craving. They are long-wearing liquid eyeshadows that pack a punch of shiny color.
Laura Geller Filter Finish Baked Radiant Setting Powder is a universal powder designed to “blur flaws, balance your skin tone, and illuminate your face with a warm natural glow.” It contains 0.24 oz / 7 g and retails for $32. It can be purchased from Laura Geller and Ulta.
The major claim about Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick is that you don’t have to compromise because this lipstick is supposed to do it all. It is said to pack a punch of color and last while being moisturizing and comfortable to wear.
NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo is a two-in-one cream product containing both a highlighter and contour shade. The formula is not as emollient as the type of cream product you’d find in a pan but it offers a finish that looks more like skin than a powder. It doesn’t smell fragranced but it does have a very mild paint-like smell that I did not find noticeable during normal use.
