In this look, all the shades I used are from Makeup Geek. Some of them are from their recent Soft Focus Colors release, which were just some lighter options to help round out their shadow selection. A few of them are also from their slightly less recent launch earlier this year.
These six shades are Makeup Geek’s most recent addition to their eyeshadow line. They are calling them their “Soft Focus” shades. I thought they would be more pastel when I first saw them online but they are a bit on the brighter side. I’m not mad about it. Looking forward to playing with these.
This review is for the Makeup Geek Matrix Mega Set ($220), which includes two magnetic palettes full of most of their single eyeshadows. I am also reviewing four additional single eyeshadows that were released as part of their recent rebrand but were not included in the palettes.
Here I am wearing rusty brown tones in the crease and lavender on the lids. This look features the shades Shimma Shimma, Creme Brulee, Cheetah Bear, Honey Badger, Starry Eyed, Wine and Dine, Vanilla Bean, and Day Dreamer.
This look features deep smoky green lids with warm browns in the crease and bright pop of olive shimmer on the inner corner. I am using the shades So Pale, Banana Split, Had Me at Yellow, Chocolate Wasted, Spilled Tea, Enchanted Forest, and Illuminaughty.
This the type of look I’d normally do on a day I’m not testing any new products. Mauves in the crease and rose gold shimmer on the lid are easy go-to colors for me. Shades worn here include Vanilla Bean, Prim and Proper, Blushing Beauty, Vintage, Americano, and Grandstand.
