Maybelline The Nudes is a neutral eyeshadow palette that includes a mix of warm/cool shades as well as matte/shimmer finishes. There are a total of 12 eyeshadows, 5 are matte and 7 are shimmer. The color family overall is most similar to Urban Decay’s Original Naked Palette with a large majority of the shades being in the taupe and bronze families.
I’ve now had my Glossybox subscription for a little over a year. The subscription was a gift from Christmas 2013 and after considering the year as a whole, I decided to go ahead and renew it for another year.

I’ve been saving my empties for an ungodly amount of time because I knew that at some point I wanted to start blogging again. I didn’t realize how much stuff I’d use up LOL. Unfortunately, I wasn’t great about keeping track of every single thing I used up. I know there were more products but I’ll try to do better for the next empties post.
The last time I did a yearly favorites was for 2012. I skipped 2013 because I felt my list would have been mostly a repeat of the previous year. This year I tried some new things and luckily found some new gems to add to my collection.

Here’s a green look that follows a similar technique as I did with my soft purple eyeshadow look. I kept the brightest shade on the center part of my lid and used the darkest shade on the inner and outer corners. I also used a smudged shadow liner instead of liquid liner just to change it up a bit.
Maybelline Plum Passion Plush Silk Eyeshadow came out as part of the Spring 2014 Deep Velvets Collection. It is a limited edition quad with lilac/orchid shades that can be used for a bright yet soft spring eyeshadow look. The formula is supposed to be silky smooth and offer rich color payoff.
