This product’s claims:

  • Hydrates to plump skin
  • Starts to work immediately to reduce the look of fine lines & wrinkles over time
  • Exfoliates, smoothes & brightens
  • Regnerates skin’s youthful look
  • Firms skin over time

I would have never chosen this moisturizer based soley on the promises it claims because I’m not that concerned about anti-aging yet. I was having a hard time finding a moisturizer that would provide enough moisture to keep my skin smooth without clogging my pores. The reviews for this product were generally good and many reviewers said that it was good at moisturizing and that it soaked right in.

I have been using this morning and night for about a month and so far I am really happy with it. It has a thick and luxurious feel and smoothes out easily over the skin. It is lightweight, non-greasy and doesn’t leave my face feeling oily or sticky. It provides a good amount of moisture, enough to ward off flakey skin, but it’s not a super intensive moisturizer. There are some days when my skin just takes a little more abuse and needs a little more hydration so I can’t say it is my holy grail moisturizer. With that said, I have no plans to stop using it. I just feel that I may need something a little more hydrating occasionally in the summer, and possibly a night cream in the winter.

It has not caused clogged pores or aggravated my acne. I can’t say I’ve noticed any dramatic results as far as anti-aging goes, although one person I see on a regular basis did comment that my skin was looking better. I feel like it has helped the overall tone of my skin look more even and the texture feels smoother (likely due to being properly hydrated). These are very subtle improvements though, not miraculous changes.

Worn alone, it doesn’t give my skin a shiny or dewy appearance, just a natural finish. If you look up close in a mirror, you will see that it does have some very fine sparkles in it. From a normal distance though, they are not noticeable. I don’t find that it causes my skin to get oilier throughout the day or break down my makeup.

I plan to continue using this long term because I like how balanced and normal my skin has felt since I started using it. I first purchased this at Ulta to give it a try and recently purchased a 2-pack from Costco because they are a better deal there. Costco only had the one with fragrance but I personally don’t mind the fragrance because it’s not too strong and it’s not powdery.
