This is my first time trying an “official” dry shampoo. I’ve tried DIY methods that didn’t really work so I thought I’d try a product that was made for the job. This one retails for about $8 and you get 200 ml.
Recently, Maybelline and many other brands have come out with highlighting concealers that are similar to the original YSL Touche Éclat. I have never tried the one from YSL because I never wanted to shell out the cash for it. Maybe one day I’ll pick it up but for now I’m content with this one.
NYX Blush in Cinnamon is a matte bright tangerine orange – so bright it’s almost neon when swatched. On the cheek it is a nice bright coral-orange color that applies and blends easily. Using a light hand with a fan brush yields a refreshing pinch of color to the cheeks. Surprisingly, it plays nicely with my cooler-toned skin. I think this would be a fantastic summer and/or special occasion color because the color it adds gives you that happy/healthy glow, even if it looks really scary in the pan!
This palette contains 9 neutral colors, 3 matte shades, 4 shimmer shades, 1 frost, and 1 glittery/shimmer shade. The lid holds three little tutorial cards that show you how to create a few different looks with the palette.
This was the first Too Faced palette that I bought and I instantly fell in love with all of the highlight colors (the larger shades). Most of the smaller shades are great too except for Satin Sheets which is just too frosty for my personal taste and Unmentionables which can have a bit of glitter fallout.
I picked this up when the first Urban Decay Naked Palette was all the rage. I compared them and I found this one to be much more suitable for those with cooler skin tones. Of course, I later caved and bought the UD Naked Palette too LOL.
The Ardell 301 false eyelashes are like the 305 eyelashes but they are not as thick or dramatic. They are more appropriate for everyday use and are easy to wear since they are only half lashes. Full lashes then to peel up on the edges, especially near the inner corner of my eye. These don’t give me any problems though. The band is clear and there are individual bundles of lashes along the band, getting progressively longer as you reach the outer edge. These lashes are good for those that want a natural, flirty look. They add just the right amount of length and fullness to the outer half of your natural eyelashes. I’ve been able to get about 3 uses out of a pair before the lashes start to look ragged.
Bold Sangria is a deep eggplant purple with an extra glossy creme finish. To achieve full opacity, you will need to apply at least two coats, perhaps three if applied too thinly. It does not contain formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP.
