Supergoop Mineral Matte Screen is a multi use product that works both as a foundation primer and a sunscreen. It is a VERY lightly tinted, mostly transparent, all mineral sunscreen (titanium dioxide 1.3% and zinc oxide 17.4%) with a slight matte finish and the feel of a slick silicone primer. There is a larger size which is $40 for 1.5 oz (45 mL) and a mini size which is $24 for 0.68 oz (20 mL).
Elf Power Grip Matte Primer is the matte version of the original Elf Power Grip Primer. It is a clear gel foundation primer with a semi-tacky finish that helps to smooth the look of pores and texture when worn under foundation. The sticky feel is supposed to help “grab” onto foundation and make it wear longer while the matte formulation is supposed to help keep shine at bay throughout the day. There are two sizes available to purchase. The larger option is 0.87 oz for $10, and the smaller one is 0.5 oz for $5. Oddly, the smaller one is a better value.
Make Up For Ever HD Skin Setting Powder is a loose powder that is supposed to be blurring, mattifying, lightweight and undetectable, and it is boldly claimed to fight shine for 24 hours. There are two sizes available, a large 18 gram jar that includes a puff for $43, and a smaller 7 gram option that I believe also includes a puff, for $22. There are 12 shades, some of which are color correcting shades. At the time of this posting, Sephora carries only six of the shades. Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Foundation is a light to medium coverage foundation with a very fluid, highly spreadable formula and a natural to dewy finish. It comes in 30 shades, retails for $52 and is available to purchase from a fairly large selection of stores.
Loreal True Match Radiant Serum Concealer is a high-medium coverage concealer with a thinner more fluid consistency and natural-matte finish. It is supposed to also have skincare properties with hyaluronic acid for hydration and caffeine to help depuff the under eye area.
Elf Camo Hydrating CC Cream is a medium coverage foundation with a dewy finish that provides SPF 30 sun protection with a combination of chemical and physical sunscreen ingredients. It has an emollient texture contributing to that dewy finish but I do not see any kind of fine shimmer in the product up close. There are 30 shades to choose from with warm, cool and neutral undertone options. For $15, you get 1 fl oz / 30 grams of product in a squeeze tube with a pump.
NYX Pro Fix Sticks are high-medium coverage creamy concealers that come in 18 skin tone shades and 6 color correcting shades. These slim twist-up sticks are small and contain 0.05 oz / 1.6 grams of product and go for $9 each. Both the concealers and correctors feel like the same formula but just differ in color.
Revlon Colorstay Flex Wear Full Cover Concealer is a matte finish, full coverage concealer that is supposed be long wearing and transfer- and crease- resistant without feeling drying. Featured ingredients include hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and clay to help strike a balance between hydration and longevity. There are 16 shades and it retails for $12.99.
