Here’s a green look that follows a similar technique as I did with my soft purple eyeshadow look. I kept the brightest shade on the center part of my lid and used the darkest shade on the inner and outer corners. I also used a smudged shadow liner instead of liquid liner just to change it up a bit.
Maybelline Plum Passion Plush Silk Eyeshadow came out as part of the Spring 2014 Deep Velvets Collection. It is a limited edition quad with lilac/orchid shades that can be used for a bright yet soft spring eyeshadow look. The formula is supposed to be silky smooth and offer rich color payoff.
Here’ a lilac/orchid eyeshadow look using Maybelline Plum Passion Plush Silk Eyeshadow. When I first saw the trio of quads in the Deep Velvets collection this one didn’t really catch my eye right away but when I looked at it more closely, I started to really love it.

NYX HD Eye Shadow Base is an eyeshadow primer that is supposed to make eyeshadows look more vibrant and last longer. It also claims to make eyelids look “smoother, more even toned.”
This month’s box looks like it’s going to have a lot of things that appeal to me – fragrance, jewelry, a luxurious face mask, a volumizing hair product, and a lip exfoliator. Let’s take a closer look.
Rockateur is one of Benefit’s newer Box o’ Powders. It is described as a rose gold shade that will give you a “provocative flush” and is supposed to have a “specialized formula” that will deliver 1.6 times the color payoff.
Here is a general overview and swatches of all 12 shades of the Almay Shadow Softies. Overall, these are fairly sheer but they apply evenly and are easy to blend out. The shimmer shades look great on their own and all the shades work well as eyeshadow bases.
NYX Adorable Eyeshadow Palette is an inexpensive, mostly-neutral eyeshadow palette containing six eyeshadows. 4 of them are matte and 2 have glitter. What makes this one different than other neutral palettes is the inclusion of a baby pink eyeshadow. In general the shadows are sheer but do have plenty of color payoff when used with a primer.
